Eve Burton-Administrator

Eve began her walk with Jesus here at FSBC in 2013 and her husband, John a year later (he is now with our Lord.)  Eve has felt the calling to ministry in our church and has served where she could.

Before and after her 20-year career with Marriott Hotels, she has used her secretarial skills whenever needed. When our former administrator retired, Eve stepped into the position on a permanent basis. Eve feels that this is a place for her to serve her church, encourage others and grow in her faith. Eve also leads a weekly small group.

John Morgan- Pastor to Senior Adults

John grew up in Portland, OR during the 50’s and 60’s. He asked Jesus to be his Savior at 10 years old at Bible Club that met after school. John knew he wanted to serve the Lord, but didn’t know in what capacity. After serving in the Navy for 4 years during the Viet Nam era, John attended Northwest Christian College in Eugene, OR receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies. He then attended graduate school at Western Conservative Baptist and Western Evangelical Seminaries in Portland. John was ordained in the Independent Christian Churches in 1980. For a brief period of time, he was a Youth Pastor and Pastor of a small Church plant in Vancouver, WA. Through the years, along with his wife Lori, John led small group Bible studies. John lost his beautiful wife of 47 years last September. It was after that when John was asked to pray, by Pastor Charles, about being the Pastor for Seniors here at First Southern Baptist Church. John is eager to be a servant here and get to know the wonderful people at FSBC and the community individually.
